Amy Ferguson is a modern creative leader, thoughtful problem solver and chronic exaggerator who is driven by simple ideas that breakthrough culture. As Chief Creative Officer of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York, she leads the agency’s globally award-winning work for brands like Hilton, Pepsi, LG, Nissan, and more. Under her direction of ‘fearless and famous,” she’s inspired the agency to unlock bold, creative work that strikes the perfect balance of innovative and classic storytelling.

Amy helped Hilton disrupt the $8 trillion dollar travel industry with the creation of their first ever brand platform “Hilton. For the Stay.” The launch campaign, “It Matters Where You Stay” was awarded as Ad Age’s “Best Rebrand.” Amy and team continued to build on that success with Hilton’s The Ad You Stay In, an ingenious idea designed to prove the value of a great stay on the fastest moving platform out there, TikTok. It got 35+ million views, helped Hilton gain 79,000 new followers, and was on numerous Advertising Best of 2023 lists.

The only thing Amy cares about more than the work, is the people and the environment she creates for them to thrive in. Her ability to build an inspiring and supportive work environment as CCO has boosted morale, with 85% of employees reporting they are proud of the work they do. Her relentless pursuit to champion diverse talent led her to launch the Young Bloods creative residency program in 2021. Since then, over 70% of the program’s participants have been hired on full time, reaffirming Amy's desire to change our industry’s demographics that are long overdue.

Prior to her promotion to CCO, Amy served as Executive Creative Director of TBWA\Chiat\Day New York where she played a huge role in putting the office back on the map creatively. She was at the helm of Adidas’ ‘Billie Jean King Your Shoes’ activation and campaign for the US Open, which was awarded top honors by every major creative authority, including an impressive 3 yellow pencils from D&AD and 10 Cannes Lions. She also pitched and won the MTN Dew account which quickly became the creative jewel of the agency with Amy and team creating notable campaigns and two Super Bowl hits, Major Millions, the first ever gamified Super Bowl ad and “As Good as the Original Maybe Even Better” a ridiculous recreation of “The Shining” with MTN Dew as the star.

She’s been named to AdAge’s Creatives You Should Watch list, Adweek’s Creative 100 list, Clios Creators list, honored as one of Business Insider’s Most Creative Women in Advertising, and most recently, was recognized as a Campaign US 40 Over 40. She has served as a jury member for the One Show, the Clios, AICP, D&AD and this year she will serve as Jury President for the Cannes Lions Social and Influencer jury.

Amy lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn in a 100-year-old brownstone with her husband, three sons and dog, Bruce. Also she hates writing bios.
