American Foundation for Suicide Prevention | Talk Away the Dark
I am personally connected to the issue of suicide and suicide prevention because I lost my old sister to suicide. I believe strongly in the work that the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is doing so I reached out to them to see if we could help them in some way. Having going through losing someone to suicide I can attest to the fact that people really struggle with talking about. Even with our renewed focus on mental health, people still can’t talk openly and honestly about suicide. Especially with someone who they think might be struggling. We developed a platform and campaign for AFSP called “Talk Away the Dark,” encouraging people to bring conversations around suicide out of the darkness.
